Bogart's family cuisine gives back to the community
"Exceeding customers' expectations."
That's the goal of Tim Hall, the owner of Bogart's Restaurant
in Sylva, and it's one of his favorite reasons for running an eatery.
With an extensive background in the restaurant business, Hall
always wanted to run his own operation. He bought Bogart's in 2005.
With pride Hall describes Bogart's as a restaurant with "American
flair serving huge portions of quality food at great prices in a
timely fashion."
Hall is a family man, married for 27 years with seven children. His item of choice on the menu is the 12-ounce ribeye served with a salad and choice of potato.
Bogart's menu of competitively priced family cuisine features a smorgasbord
of down-home entrees such as soups, appetizers, salads, steaks,
chicken, seafood, pasta and burgers, as well sandwich platters and
desserts.
And while folks come from miles around for their infamous "fried
Oreo dessert," Bogart's strives to be a business that gives
back to the community. The restaurant hosts a wide range of events
such as having the local radio station, WRGC, interview football
players, coaches and children right in the restaurant.
Bogart's also supports the Community Table once a month, which is a non-profit
organization that feeds people in need. The restaurant with a big
heart also participates in programs that support Fairview Elementary
School and WestCare Health System.
With a wide range of customers from 90-year-olds to 8-day-old
babies, Bogart's is definitely a family restaurant. "We are
just Jackson County's gathering place," Hall said.
