Cook was in the restaurant business his entire life, and after moving to Dillsboro five years ago he decided to open a bakery for dogs.

'"It's not a matter of cooking food as it is a matter of making a customer happy," Cook said. "If I hear barks, I'm happy."

Cook features American made or North Carolina merchandise you won't find anywhere else such as cards, leashes, collars, and doggles - yes, glasses for dogs.

While visiting the bakery, be sure not to miss "Yappy Hour" held every Friday at 6 p.m. where you and your pooch can enjoy complimentary drinks and treats while socializing and trying on the latest in dog gear.
